We provide high-quality care and education
that is built on a foundation of co-operation and trust that leads to
mutually rewarding relationships involving children, parents and teachers.
When such relationships are developed, children are likely to be well
adjusted and have a strong sense of their own value and self-worth. We are
committed to providing young children with a warm, happy and stimulating
environment where they are free to explore and challenge their unique,
developing talents and abilities. Children in our care are encouraged to
explore their interests and develop their full potential by stimulating their
cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative stages of development.
We are licensed by the Ministry of Education
and governed by the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Munchkinz Preschool’s goal is to help every child be happy, secure and to
develop fully to his or her true potential. To meet this goal, we offer
families a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that reflects these
values. Munchkinz Preschool is dedicated to providing a warm and inviting
atmosphere that allows children to develop at their own pace. We provide a
positive learning environment for your child that enhances his or her level
of development and enhances self-esteem and confidence. Through play
experiences and the guidance of staff, your child will be exposed to
situations that will stimulate curiosity, initiative and independence.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The Centre is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and operates 12
months a year. We are only closed on statutory holidays. AGE GROUPS Our
Centre is licensed for children 2 to 4 years of age and we offer full-time as
well as part-time programs. Part-time programs start at 2 ½ years of age. OUR
DAY Our program is designed to stimulate and educate your child. The
children’s day involves planned group activities that focus on Language,
Math, Music, Art, Creative and Sensory Experiences. We also incorporate a
balance of structured learning, outdoor play, free play and quiet times.
One-on-one interactions are a vital part of our daily program. Routines such
as diapering, sleeping and eating are also taken into consideration when
planning daily activities so we can ensure we meet the needs of each child.
OUR STAFF Our staff are committed to providing
a high quality, caring and professional environment for your child.
· Our professional staff are registered with
the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECEs).
· All staff have up-to-date training in First Aid and CPR.
· All staff have vulnerable sector Criminal Reference Checks.
NUTRITION
Good nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development. As a result,
we place a great emphasis on nutritious foods, thereby building good
nutrition habits. The centre provides a morning snack, a hot lunch and an
afternoon snack. Our meals are cooked in-house.

We are conveniently located at 260 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 1J4, just
off the Gardiner at Park Lawn and The Queensway. If you are interested in
